Gladys and Charles
Gladys & Charles is an exciting new online home decor boutique. The brand needed an About Us page that encompassed their old-fashioned values, while capturing the owner’s personality.
Website copy. Spotty Froggy is an independent, online babywear boutique that came to me without a clear brand identity. I helped them pinpoint what makes them unique before translating this into web content. I then used these brand guidelines to create a range of printed materials.
House of Purple Rose
House of Purple Rose were looking for an update of their ‘About Us’ page. The brand really cares about women and the products they put on their skin. This was a real pleasure to write.
These SEO product descriptions were part of a batch commissioned by online audio equipment retailer, Divine Audio. An exercise in simplifying technical, jargon filled language in order to improve clarity.

These SEO product descriptions were written for Gladys & Charles, a beautiful online home decor boutique. The client wanted a friendly, conspiratorial tone of voice and practical suggestions for placing each product in a variety of home environments. These are my favourite descriptions from the range, and I’d like to be paid in furniture from now on.
St. Gemma’s Hospice
This piece, on hospice nursing, was written as a newsletter front cover for the largest hospice in Yorkshire. The ‘Sponsor a Nurse’ campaign raised over £200,000 for the charity. Front page only – the remainder of newsletter is not my work.

Leeds Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service asked me to write their annual trustees report, pulling together a range of different source materials to create a cohesive document that worked for several different audiences.

Dogs for Good needed some emotive case studies to promote their life-changing work. I wrote a series of ten, after conducting an interview with each client. Seven years later, these are still in use!
KOWA restaurant is the largest pan Asian eatery in Milan and came to me for help with promoting a new menu. I suggested tying this in with the city’s largest annual event – fashion week.
